LOCAL APPLCANTS

Application Procedures for Local Students

Application form can be obtained from the Administrative Office during office hours. Alternatively, applicants may also download the application form from the website, www.agbc.edu.sg.

The applicants should return the completed form with:

• A non-refundable application fee of S$20. Cheques, money orders, or bank drafts should be made payable to “Assemblies of God Bible College”.

• Two recent colour passport-sized photographs

• A copy of the applicants’ secondary / tertiary / university education certificate. This includes all official certificates and transcripts from former schools (i.e. college, university and theological college). The applicants should arrange to have their former schools send the transcripts directly to AGBC. Alternatively, the original transcripts should be brought to AGBC for verification.

• Testimony of conversion

• Testimony of full-time calling to Christian Ministry. If the applicant does not have a full-time calling, he/she has to give an account of what are his/her reasons and goals for pursuing theological education in AGBC.

• Three character reference forms are required. These should include a reference from the supervising pastor or leader of the church in which the applicant is worshipping and 2 references from a friend, a colleague, or employer who knows the applicant for more than two years. Spouses, relatives, current students and staff of AGBC are not acceptable references. The referees should send the character reference forms directly to AGBC. The names and full addresses of all referees should be written on the application form so that AGBC will know from whom to expect the character evaluation forms.

• A completed medical form by a licensed medical practitioner with the Ministry of Health.

The Admission Committee will not consider any applications that do not have all the relevant documents mentioned above.

All completed applications must be returned before October 1 to be eligible for matriculation in the first semester of the following year or April 1 for the second semester of the said year. Applications received after these dates will not be considered for the forthcoming academic semester.

Submission of application form and documents does not constitute automatic admission to AGBC. All applications will be subjected to review by the Admission Committee. The Admissions Committee will arrange for an interview with the applicants. After the interview, the applicants will be notified of the outcome of their applications by post.
